We are pleased to be joined by Baroness Finlay of Llandaff on the 28th November 2022 at the Hilton Hotel for a dinner event.

Professor the Baroness Finlay of Llandaff is a Consultant in Palliative Medicine at Velindre Cancer Centre and Honorary Professor of Palliative Medicine at Cardiff University. She established the Marie Curie Hospice in 1987 and the Diploma/MSc in Palliative Medicine in 1989, was the lead for Palliative Care in Wales 2008-2017 and developed wider bereavement support. 

She is President of the Chartered Society for Physiotherapy, President of Attend, Vice President of Hospice UK and of Marie Curie. She is Past-President of BMA, RSM and the Association for Palliative Medicine. She is an elected member of the BMA Ethics Committee and Bevan Commissioner in Wales. She chaired the National Mental Capacity Forum (England and Wales) for Ministry of Justice from 2015 to 2022. She became a life-Peer in 2001 in the House of Lords and has been a Deputy Speaker since 2018. 

This event is open to all who wish to attend the lecture and members can book for the dinner after the lecture.  The event will start at 18:00 with a drinks reception, the lecture will start at 18:45 and the dinner will take place from 19:45-21:30.
