Simon Fox has been Chief Executive of Reach plc (formerly Trinity Mirror) since September 2012.
Simon began his career as a graduate trainee at Security Pacific Bank and then at Boston Consulting Group. Thereafter, he founded Office World, the UK's first out-of-town office supplies retailer which he ran between 1989 and 1998.
He then joined Kingfisher Group and was responsible for setting up the e-commerce operations of a number of companies across Europe before becoming COO of the European electrical retailing division.
Between 2006 and 2012 he was Chief Executive of HMV Group, which at the time operated the HMV brand in the UK and overseas, MaMa Group (live music) and Waterstones, bookstores in the UK.
Simon was previously a Non Executive Director at Guardian Media Group and now sits on the PA Group Board.
