Our next speaker in the news: Tim Parker

Date Posted: 03 April 2017 Our next speaker in the news: Tim Parker

Currently Chairman of the National Trust, Post Office and Samsonite, Tim Parker has enjoyed an illustrious career as CEO of a number of well-known brands including Clarks Shoes, Kwik-Fit and the AA.

Following a long line of prestigious appointments, he has most recently been appointed to the world-class opera Grange Festival’s Board of Trustees.

Described as a man with strong cultural values, Tim believes the National Trust's 300 historic homes and 620,000 acres of countryside provide a great way to bond people from different backgrounds together.

In an interview with Management Today last year, he spoke about his views on private equity and higher taxes, and says his former nickname the ‘Prince of Darkness’, attributed to him for tightening AA’s budgets, baffles those who meet him.
