We are delighted to announce the appointment of two new members to the Board of Cardiff Business Club, Charlotte Leyshon and Benno Wasserstein.

Their appointment follows that of Catrin Pascoe, who formally joined the Board earlier in the season, and comes after the announcement that David Lermon, Vice Chairman and Melanie Hamer, Director will shortly be stepping down from the Board.

Charlotte is a practising Solicitor at Hugh James, having qualified in 2003 and spending much of her earlier career practising in London. An experienced Family Law practitioner, Charlotte has worked on a number of high profile cases in both the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. She specialises in cases involving high net worth financial claims following divorce, co-habitation and private Children law issues.

Benno is the Founder and Managing Director of Box UK - one of Wales’ largest digital specialists with a UK and international reach. Founded by Benno during his second year of studies at Cardiff University in 1998, Box UK is now a multi-million business and features in The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Small Companies to Work For in the UK.

Catrin is the Editor of The Western Mail - the first female to be appointed to the role since the newspaper was established in 1869. She took over from former Board member Alun Edmunds in March 2016, having previously served as the editor of the South Wales Echo and head of content at the South Wales Echo, Western Mail, and Wales on Sunday before then.

Commenting on the new appointments, Scott Waddington, Chairman of Cardiff Business Club, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Catrin, Charlotte and Benno to the Board and we very much look forward to working with them over the course of the current season and beyond.

“We must also thank David and Melanie for all their support. They have been true stalwarts of the Club and each has played a key role in its continued success over the last few years. We wish them the very best for their future endeavours.”
