We are pleased to be joined by Roger Devlin, Chairman of Persimmon Homes on the 25th May 2023 for a lunch event. This event is kindly sponsored by Persimmon Plc.
Roger Devlin is Chairman of Persimmon PLC, Britain’s largest housebuilder and a FTSE 50 company. He is also on the Board as a donor to the Sutton Trust, the leading educational and social mobility charity.
Previous roles have included chairing William Hill, Gamesys and Marstons as well as a number of successful private equity exits for Permira, Advent and Phoenix. Roger was the first Senior Independent Director of the Football Association 2012-19.
In an executive capacity Roger worked for Hill Samuel (1978-1992) and Hilton/Ladbrokes (1993-2008). He presently chairs Sunningdale Golf Club and owns and breeds racehorses. In 2015 Roger wrote and produced Breaking the Bank, a feature film starring Kelsey Grammer and Tamsin Grieg which was nominated for best UK comedy.
Roger was educated at Manchester Grammar School and Wadham College Oxford. He is married with two daughters.
This event is open to all who wish to attend the lecture and members can book for the lunch after the lecture. The event will start at 12pm with a drinks reception, the lecture will be at 12.30-13.15 and the lunch will take place from 13.15 to 14.45.
